Very significant wasMetros ' (#1, 14-8) victory against second-ranked Titanes (12-10) 87-78 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Titanes. The winners were led by naturalized American guard Omar Silverio (190-1998, college: WVU) who scored that evening 22 points and 6 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and American center Henry Sims (208-1990, college: Georgetown) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even 32 points and 6 rebounds by swingman Jassel Perez (195-2001) did not help to save the game for Titanes . Luis Montero (203-1993, college: South Plains) added 15 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Metros have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-8 record. Defending champion Titanes dropped to the third place with ten games lost.
